Drawing from and building upon an existing body of work inspired by the drama of the Welsh landscape, Piera is creating a series of landscape illustrations, which will document sections of the Cadfan Way. 

 

Walking sections of the pilgrimage trail, Piera will document the route through plein air studies, focusing on the places in which the mountains of Eryri stretch down to meet the sea. She will create a travel reportage-style "snapshot" of the route by depicting a mix of panoramic views and the smaller details observed along the route. 

 

Finding inspiration in both the heightened grandeur of the landscape as well as the quiet contemplative moments of walking along this pilgrimage trail.
