Iain Davidson
IainDavidsonPortraits-16.jpg

Iain is a multi-disciplinary artist who combines landscape and landmarks with stylised designs and historical reference. His practice encompasses printmaking, ceramics, and mixed-media installations.

Iain's work represents a search for roots and connection, through a fascination with paths, routeways, and the nature and materiality of place. He recently completed a Masters in Contemporary Art & Archaeology at the University of the Highlands and Islands, Orkney College, where he researched the long history of the journeys of Cheshire salt, combining a love of archaeology, an affinity for the spirit of place, and creative practice.

This year, Iain will travel Llwybr Cadfan and create works responding to elements of the pilgrimage and research of the route's deep history.
