Gill Crozier
Mixed Media /
Cyfryngau Cymysg

Gill has lived on the borderlands of Wales and Shropshire for many years. Originally from the south of England she studied fine art at Waltham Forest and the Royal Academy Schools. Her work has for many years been based on land and seascape,  looking for relationships between structure of land and human history.

There is a sculptural quality to Gill’s work which shows an understanding of the fundamentals of any given landscape. Large paintings using colour, gesture and line offer us a way into a given landscape experience. Contours and motifs inform us of time spent in or on the edge of a wind blown place, inland or on the coast.

Her chosen medium is mostly acrylic combined with collage and ink on board, canvas or paper.
